While that is my office hour, I am generally around my office when I am not teaching between 8 and 5 Monday through Friday.  Stop by to see if I am in.

I prefer you email me first as from time to time a meeting I have to attend is scheduled and I may not be at my office.  i don't want you to stop by and not find me if it is important.

Description

This course follows the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) standards, and OSHA requirements to prepare the student with knowledge, skill, and techniques necessary to recognize and provide care in first aid, respiratory, and cardiac emergencies using the latest CPR and emergency cardiac care guidelines. Students learn how to perform rescue breathing; CPR; how to use personal protective equipment; how to use an Epinephrine Auto-Injector; and how to operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). CPR/AED and First Aid certification is given upon completion of course requirements. Certification can be from one of the following ILCOR agencies: American Heart Association; American Red Cross, EMS Safety; or any other provider following ILCOR standards. This is a stand-alone training that will help you gain employment or maintain employment in fields where safety of others is paramount such as early childhood educators, exercise instructors, mariners, public safety/
