Meditation and mindful movement for modern everyday living. This course is designed for those who need to relax and restore both body and mind. We’ll begin with a gentle yoga asana (posture) sequence intended to release tension and anxiety, mobilize the joints, increase circulation and energy, and connect body and breath to focus attention. Restorative classes are a time to allow the physical body to rest to prepare for meditation. Meditation is a practice by which we achieve a greater sense of awareness, relaxation, with the objective of the here and now. In this course, we will explore various techniques of meditation to find the right choice for you. All levels are welcome. Appropriate for those with limited mobility.
