Description
The Firefighter Fundamentals course introduces the essential knowledge, skills, and techniques required for entry-level firefighting, covering fire behavior, safety procedures, protective equipment, fire suppression and rescue operations, equipment, and apparatus. Students will engage in both classroom theory and hands-on exercises, including topics pertaining to basic firefighting job requirements such as professional development, culture, behaviors/expectations, regulations, and procedures, among others. Opportunities for professional and community networking will be presented.
