Children like to write! As children watch the adults around them make grocery lists, write letters, read invitations, notes, and menus, they too want to participate and join in the fun. Young children need to build strength and dexterity in their hands as well as have opportunities to share interactive writing experiences with adults and more skilled writers. In this session we will review physical development, and identify activities to promote emergent writing.
