The Foundation also offers ongoing scholarships yearround to help students in the following limited areas.

This emergency scholarship is for students currently registered at Southwestern Oregon Community College (either full or part-time) who need assistance with temporary and surmountable financial difficulties and/or emergencies. The goal with this assistance is to ensure students are able to remain enrolled and complete their studies.
Emergency scholarships are funded by the Richard Grossman Student Support Scholarship fund and the Olive Bridge Emergency scholarship fund.
IMPORTANT: Please speak with a SWOCC staff member (ideally staff in the GED program) prior to applying for this scholarship.

The SWOCC Foundation works in collaboration with Phi Theta Kappa to assist qualifying students with membership into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. AAWCC (American Association for Women in Community Colleges) will award a $500 scholarship per region to one student who meets the national board scholarship criteria.

Society of Women Engineers. SWE scholarships have empowered women pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and related fields.
Scholarship opportunity for legally blind students.
Scholarships up to $2,500 to pursue a career or technical education.
The Coos Watershed Association and Villers Family will award this scholarship to a candidate who demonstrates a passion for and commitment to studying natural sciences, among other eligibility requirements.
Zonta awards scholarships to Coos Bay Area local women.
To qualify for scholarship consideration, the student must be a high school senior, have earned at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, have been a resident of Coos County since at least September 1 of the previous year, have participated in either cross country or track and field and have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their sport.
