Description

The scope of this course is to provide training and assessment, in lieu of testing, in the subjects listed in 46 CFR 11.910 for the increase in scope of an MMC endorsement as Mate or Master less than 200 GRT (meaning 25, 50, 100, or 200 GRT) Near Coastal to an Oceans route, including:
• Nautical Astronomy and Navigation Terminology
• Fuel Conservation
• Ocean Track Plotting
• Times of Celestial Phenomena
• Celestial Observations of the Sun and Polaris for Position Fixing
