Description

Provides instruction at the level of Emergency Medical Technician. Includes all cognitive (knowledge) and psychomotor (practical) skills necessary to develop student skills in the recognition of signs and symptoms of illness and injury and proper emergency care procedures as outlined by the scope of practice established by the Oregon Medical Board. This course will also build personal skills in hands on capabilities, and a positive attitude towards the patients they may care for. This is the first of a two-part course as set forth by the National EMS Education Standards.
