Description

This two-part class teaches you how to make simple sourdough bread with step-by-step instructions. Learn how and what to feed your starter, how to store it, and what to make with the discard. Sample sweet breads and treats made with the sourdough discard.
You'll leave the class with a sourdough starter and ideas and recipes for utilizing the discard. Please bring a mason jar with lid or sealed container to transport your sourdough starter home.
The second part is Sourdough Day - celebrate and share the sourdough you made at home. Bring your bread and something to share (soup, sandwich fixings, salad). Sample breads, share recipes, ask questions.
