First, ask yourself if you can accomplish your task virtually via phone, email, Zoom or online. Remember, our campuses are closed to the general public. If you are a student and must be on campus, come prepared to follow the below guidelines. FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED! If you have questions, concerns or do not believe you are able to adhere to the guidelines for any reason, contact an appropriate staff member prior to coming to campus (see contact information below).

- Daily Health Check. Anyone coming to campus is required to perform a COVID-19 Daily Self-Check. Students assigned to a “Healthy Roster / SAFER Workplace” screening are expected to complete their check-ins daily:
- Temperature check – Anyone with an elevated temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or greater is not to come on campus.
- Symptom check – Remain home if you are ill or showing symptoms such as cough, fever or chills, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing.
- Exposure check – Remain home if you have been exposed to COVID-19 within the preceding 14 days.
- Social Distance. It's simple! Remain at least 6 feet apart.
- Face Coverings. MASKS ARE REQUIRED statewide for offices and indoor public spaces, and in outdoor public spaces. Not sure if a face covering is required? Keep it on! It’s best to err on the side of caution.
A face covering means a cloth, polypropylene, paper or other face covering that completely covers the nose and mouth, rests snugly above the nose, below the mouth and on the sides of the face.
Scarves, bandanas and gators are not acceptable face coverings because they allow droplets and aerosols to be released.
People with a disability or medical condition may request accommodation from the college if they cannot wear a face mask. Students should contact the Director of Disability Services (541-888-1578) who will work with students with concerns.
Note: Face coverings are required to be worn while exercising in the Recreation Center.
- More details regarding Southwestern's mask policy can be found here.
